Abbott Laboratories Office & Warehouse Facility

• A well-known company. Even before COVID, Abbott has become a household name as a manufacturer of rapid at-home COVID tests. This project included the renovation of an existing office and warehouse facility.

• The new design included two Bio-Safety Level 2 labs (used to study moderate-risk infectious agents or toxins that pose a moderate danger), one electronics lab, gown rooms, and a material air lock.

​

• We engineered a new rooftop DOAS, new laboratory exhaust system, upgrades to existing BMS, lighting and lighting controls, safety showers and eye-wash stations, centralized compressed air system, and new data/telecom cabling system throughout the whole facility.

• We coordinated design of new rooftop structure required to support all new and relocated MEP equipment.
